Hijab

HIJAB

Are there countries that do not allow women to wear hijab?

Hijab has become a hot topic after the French government’s decision to ban it from public schools, hospitals, and other public institutions in early 2004. Despite huge international protests against the banning of “religious symbols”, which also includes the Christian crucifix, the Jewish skullcap, and Sikh turban, Muslim women in Canada who wear hijab continue to voice their opposition. Many are concerned that what happened in France will happen in other parts of the world, including Canada. Visit the following sites for more on hijab.
